Please share a memory of Len to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts, that the family of Len Charles Freeman Senior from North Buxton, announces the passing of our much-loved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend.

After a few weeks in the Chatham Kent Hospice, Len transitioned to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 1, 2023.

Son of the late Charles “Doc” Freeman and Keitha Scott, Len was born on December 27, 1948 and was blessed to see his 75th birthday. Beloved husband of the late Margo (Marjoke Van Garwe) and loving father to Len Charles Junior (Megan), Crystal, Marcel (Lynnae), and Charlene. Len will also be missed by children Andrea and Beatrice of the United States, Lisa and Larry.

Siblings to Len include Glen, Veronica, Sharon, Gene, Anna Marie, Grant, Darcy, Brenda, June, Marilyn, Dennis and Sandy.

Grandfather to many grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Uncle and great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Len (Burhead, Beta), lived in the village of North Buxton the majority of his life where he had lots of family and friends that would often stop by for a visit, sitting at the picnic table to talk and catch-up a while.

Per his wishes, there will be no funeral home visitation or service. Len will be laid to rest by Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) and buried next to his wife Margo in the North Buxton B.M.E. Cemetery. The family will have a private memorial to honor Len.

Donations offered in Len’s memory are asked to be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice at 34 Wellington St E, Chatham, Ontario, N7M 3N7. The family would like say how much they appreciate the care and kindness shown during this difficult time from this wonderful facility.

The family is also extremely thankful and grateful for the people of North Buxton who continue to surround us with support and love.

Our Dad, gone but never forgotten.
