At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Friday January 20, 2023, Mary “Dorothy”  Hitchcock, age 101, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Harold Hitchcock (1970). 

Born in Gorham, New Hampshire in 1921, daughter of the late Verna (Cascadden) and James Mellen.  

Dorothy worked as a Nurses Assistant until her retirement.

She is survived by a son Bryan (Pauline) Hitchcock and a daughter Sharon (Leah) Bondy. Sadly missed by 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also sadly missed by a daughter-in-law Liz Hitchcock.  Predeceased by  a son Lyle Hitchcock and sisters; Lila Symes and Lilly Smith.   

As were Dorothy’s request there will be no funeral home visitation or service, cremation has taken place.

The Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) is in charge of arrangements.
