The Kjeldsen family was so sad to hear of Sybil’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. I have a picture Sybil painted for my mom hanging in my kitchen. I will always remember Sybil fondly as my moms very good friend.

Gary and I had the pleasure of getting to know Sybil at McDonalds and Walmart. As a cashier at Walmart I enjoy getting to know my customers and will certainly miss seeing Sybil there. She had a wonderful smile and we would get to chat when she was checking out.
Our deepest condolences to Kaj and family.

My Grandma was someone who cherished life, and all the beauty it had to offer.
Unlike her, many of us struggle to be present. We rush through our days and focus on what is happening next, instead of what is happening now.
I think we have a lot we can learn from how she lived and how she loved. She immersed herself in what was happening in front of her. She wasn’t judgemental, and she listened to what each person was saying and validated how they were feeling. When I spoke with her, I never felt like she was just focused on what her response was going to be. She didn’t see her conversations as a way to make a point. She simply valued the connection you were sharing.
I remember her buying purple ketchup and silly string, and strange pieces of clothing from thrift stores. She didn’t have a rigid structure for how she lived, but she lived more than most of us do. When I was little, I remember collecting dandelions for her. I was teased for it because they’re technically weeds. She looked at me and smiled widely. She said that dandelions were her favourite and that she loved my gift.
I think we should be more like her. I think we should appreciate the small moments and the people in front of us. I think she’d want us to appreciate the dandelions.

A dear and close neighbor, friend and confidant. I will miss our many chats sitting on her porch talking about everything and anything and sharing all the stories over a nice glass of white wine home brewed by her loving daughter in law. These moments will no longer happen but the memories certainly will remain. Miss and love you Sybill - Regina
