I hadn’t seen Michelle in over 30 years since I left Ottawa. I was very sad to read of her passing. I cherished our friendship. She was fun, creative, beautiful inside and out, kind and although it was so many years ago, I will always hold those precious moments with me. We had wonderful talks and I feel fortunate and lucky to have known her and have her in my life for a short time. I know that her future mist have held wonderful experiences for those who met her and those who knew her a long time. My heart breaks for you and for Michelle’s sons. My thoughts and prayers are with you and with your mother always.

Have a lovely memory of Michelle from 1973 when she came to England on a visit with Kath and Yvonne. She was a cute little blonde haired tomboy!
RIP Michelle, always in our thoughts.

Our past remains with us forever, fluttering gracefully on the wings of butterflies. Collecting grasshoppers, caterpillars, tadpoles, frogs, fish and countless exciting creatures that our young minds and eyes discovered while exploring. Climbing trees, playing hide-and-seek, listening to The Beatles (on vinyl, over and over again), playing on slides and swings, wading in a flooded front yard ( with no concerns of drenched socks), running excitedly in your old school house basement (while observing glass shelves stocked with many containers displaying seedlings, flowers and vegetables) and just having fun. These are a snap shot of my treasured memories of Michelle and Yvonne. The pureness of innocence and extreme imagination our 4 souls enveloped.
And to this day, I still remember, I was approximately 12 years old and Michelle 7 years old, watching Michelle effortlessly drawing a masterful and detailed crayon sketch of a person's facial features. Being very inquisative, I had to ask Michelle "How did you draw that picture?" . And she exciteadly replied "I see it in my head". And I was so amazed, considering I have always wanted to draw, like an artist, but I can never transfer a vivid picture, from my mind, onto a canvass. "I wish I could do that", responding to Michelle's answer. And she just laughed.
Words cannot express how you are currently feeling, Kathy, as only a grief-stricken parent, unfortunately, has to endure. And Yvonne: your biggest gift, in life, was having Michelle as your sister. Makail and Devin: mom will be by your sides, forever.
And back to The Beatles: Ironically, The Beatles song "Michelle' was my most memorable song blasting out the speakers, as we played games. To Kathy, Yvonne, Makail and Devin: Michelle (ma belle), The Beatles perfectly expressed what your family feels for Michelle.
