Peacefully at Chatham Kent Health Alliance surrounded by her loving family, Mrs. Charlotte Konecny of Chatham Township, passed away on Friday May 12 2023 at the age of 67. Beloved wife and best friend of Paul Konecny. Daughter of the late Charles and Mary Tomek.

Loving mother to son Kevin and wife Evelyn, and son Matthew and wife Jessica of Chatham. Proud Grandmother to Grace and Claire. Dear sister to David and wife Judy Tomek of Blenheim.

Pre-deceased by sister Charlene and brother Brian Tomek. Nieces Ashley and husband Aaron Armstrong and Laura and husband Ryan Wilson.

Charlotte was a homemaker at heart. Family was everything to her. The love she put into making the traditional Czech meal for those special occasions gave her great joy. And all enjoyed the food for sure. Her touches are everywhere in the home. She also took great care of those flower beds around the house. Red roses were her favorite.

Charlotte loved to travel to warm destinations in the winter. Travel with family and friends was the greatest experience and brought great joy to her and Paul. We thank all who traveled with us to Florida, on cruises and to her favorite island St. Maarten.

The family would like to thank all the health professionals at Chatham Kent Health Alliance Intensive Care Unit who showed their companionate care who helped Charlotte through her illness.

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday May 17, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday May 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church.  The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed at the following link:  https://youtube.com/live/kej713mG10s?feature=share

Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery.

A Celebration Luncheon to Follow Mass and Cemetery.
