Vivian was a long-time resident of Thamesville, Ontario, and previously Hawkesbury and Windsor, Ontario. A fiercely independent, proud, and charming lady with a quick wit and infectious laugh, she dearly loved her rural home and all its furry and feathered friends.
Vivian waited 56 years to see her Toronto Maple Leafs win another Stanley Cup but, alas, it was not to be.
Thank you to very special neighbors Rosie (Balsazy), Don, and Alecia Chevalier, and Bill and Jodie Rich for helping watch over Vivian, and her dear friend Susan Derynck.
Thank you to Ron’s Gas Bar and the local restaurant waitstaff for always remembering Vivian when she visited.
Thank you to Dr. Stephen Jones and staff, and to Thamesville Pharmacy for providing long-term health care support.
Thank you to Chartwell Retirement Residence (Kingsville), especially Dayna and Savanah, for providing care and support, and to Erie Shores Hospice (Leamington), especially Dr. Patricia Valcke, Marie, Kylie, and Jocelyn, for your kindness and compassion in helping make Vivian comfortable in her final hours.
Visitation for Vivian will be held in the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home 156 William St. S., Chatham (519-352-5120) on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 12 noon until 1:30 pm.
A Chapel Service will then be held at 1:30 pm.
Interment to follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Tecumseh.
Anyone wishing to make donations in Vivian’s name may do so to Erie Shores Hospice.
You will forever hold a special place in our hearts – Rhonda, Joel, and family.
