Obituary of Barbara Janina Polewicz

Barbara Janina Polewicz (Galazka), born on January 1^st, 1949, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 74 on Thursday May 18, 2023, with her family by her side. 

Barbara leaves behind her loving husband Stanislaw, to whom she was married to for 54 years, her children Beata and Katarzyna, sons in law Jerzy and Mariusz, her grandchildren Paulina, Jessica, Sabina, Erik and Adam, and her great granddaughters Aria, Aila and Sofia. 

Barbara was born in Ryki, Poland to the late Janina Warowna and Tadeusz Galazka, and immigrated with her husband to Canada in 1989.

She was loved by family and friends both in Canada as well as Poland.

Wife, daughter, sister to her predeceased brother Marian Galazka, mom, grandmother, and great grandmother, Barbara will forever be in our hearts and deeply missed.

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham on Monday May 22, 2023, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday May 23, 2023, at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Victory Church.  Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Mass offering for her soul would be preferred over flowers or donations.
