Obituary of Norberto DeCouto

Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday July 12, 2023, Norberto DeCouto, age 93. 

Beloved husband of the late Maria do Carmo Carreiro DeCouto (2020).  Born in Sao Miguel, Azores in 1930.  Son of the late Francisca Couto and Jose Costa. 

Loving father of Mary (Chuck) Ponte of Connecticut, Joe Couto and Artur Couto of Chatham. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Ponte, Jeremy (Andrea) Ponte, and Sonia (Ian Waddick) Couto and great grandfather of Vanessa Ponte, Ethan, Gavin and Jackson Waddick, and many nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by 1 sister and 4 brothers. 

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday July 16, 2023 from 6-8 pm.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday July 17^th at 10 am in St. Agnes Church.

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
