Obituary of Robert "Bob" Hoskins
Peacefully, surrounded by his family at Chatham-Kent Hospice on Wednesday August 2, 2023, Robert “Fuzzball” Norman Hoskins, age 75. Beloved husband of 52 years of Gloria (Sekulic) Hoskins. Born in Chatham in 1947, son of the late Rietta (Pickering) and Len Hoskins.
Loving father of Jeff (Linda) Hoskins and Susan (Wade) Lambkin. Cherished grandfather of Kira and Hunter Hoskins, Braydon (Hoskins), Addison and Alexis Lambkin (Hoskins) and great grandfather of Ella Hoskins. Dear brother of Patsy (Gord) Wells, Dennis Hoskins and Brian (Liz) Hoskins. He will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother Len (Mary) Hoskins.
Bob far exceeded medical expectations and survived for over 6 years with glioblastoma brain cancer. After retiring from the Ministry of Transportation he worked at Country View Golf Course for 10 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed coaching with Chatham Hockey, Ringette and Baseball for 20 years.
Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday August 4, 2023 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Feel free to wear your Maple Leaf’s Jersey at visitation.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 5, 2023 at 10 AM in St. Ursula’s Church.
Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
