Obituary of William "Bill" Demers

It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts we announce the passing of William (Bill) Robert Demers on September 1, 2023 at the age of 61, peacefully surrounded by his family at the Chatham Kent Hospice.

Loving and caring husband to Jean (St. Pierre) Demers for 42 years.

Dedicated and loving father to William Demers II (deceased 2021) and son Robert Demers and his wife Heather. Dearest grandfather to Sebastian Demers & Lorelai Demers.

Born in Chatham in 1962, cherished son of Betty (Bissonnette) Demeester (late Albert 2022) and Ralph (Dorothy Gough) Demers.

Sadly missed by a brother Wayne Demers (Lorrie O’Rourke), and by sisters; Charlene (Glen) King, Darlene (John) Rylett and Christine (Joe) Zink. Also sadly missed by a sister-in-law Carol Breton (Scott Carpenter) and brother-in-law John St. Pierre (Eleanor St Denis) and by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews along with close friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Chatham Hospice for their excellent care and compassion to keep Bill comfortable.

A private family service will be held and cremation will follow.

The Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) is in charge of arrangements.
