Peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Friday September 8, 2023, Kaj Honnicke Kaer, age 93. Beloved husband of 65 years of the late Sybil (Agnew) Kaer (January 28, 2023). Born in Denmark in 1930, son of the late Valborg (Hönnicke) and Johan Kaer.
Loving father of Barbara Jean (Theo) Keet, John (Debbie), Mark (Jennifer), Mike, Paul (Marion) and Neil Kaer. Dearest grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Ellen Jacobson, Frank (Hanne) Kaer and brother-in-law of Rita Kaer. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother Leif Kaer.
Friends and relatives visited at Hinnegan Peseski Funeral. 156 William St. S. (519-352-5120) on Thursday September 14, 2023 from 12 PM until time of funeral service at 1 PM.
Cremation has taken place and burial will take place at a later date.
Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.
A good father, husband , neighbor, an astute common sense, down to earth kind of man, a man with a strong sense of being Canadian and a proud Dane. We need more people like Kaj. Of course, we’ll miss him but not forget him.
