Obituary of Michele "Mike" Meriano
At Windsor Regional Hospital-Metroplitan Campus, Windsor, on September 19, 2023, Michele "Mike" Meriano, age 84, of Chatham.
With a calm presence and a smile that lit up the room, Mike loved deeply and cherished family, cooking and spending time outdoors. Beloved husband of the late Chiara “Claire” (Mastromarino) Meriano (2021).
Born in Castelvetere Sul Calore, Italy in 1939, son of the late Geraldina (Magliaro) and Giuseppe Meriano.
He is survived by a son Joseph Meriano (Jennifer Morrison) and by a daughter Jennifer Meriano. Cherished Nonno of Aidan and Michael. Dear brother of Tony (late Gina) Meriano. Sadly missed by sisters-in-law; Gerva (Guy) Shields and Sonya Mastromarino. Also sadly missed by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday September 22, 2023 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday September 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Ursula's Church.
Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Donations to the C.L.L. Foundation of Canada or the Chatham-Kent YMCA would be appreciated.
