Obituary of Fred Robinson

On  Saturday November 18, 2023, John Frederick (Fred) Robinson, age 84, of Dresden, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus. Beloved husband of the late Gillian (Sharpe) Robinson (1995) and the late Christine (Simpson) Robinson (2014).  Born in Forest, ON in 1939, son of the late Sarah (Slaughter) and Frank Robinson.  Loving father of Brenda (Paul) Westfall, Kenneth (Lori) Robinson, Sarah (Scott) Seed, James (Jenna) Robinson and Theresa (Jim) Hanson.  Dearest grandfather of Suzanne (Abdelaziz), Jordan, Jonathan, Rebecca (Derick), Justin, Autumn, Melissa (Jaydon), Colin, Elanna, Christopher, Cameron, Austin, Krystal and Megan and great grandfather of Lillah, Everleigh and Romeo.  Dear brother of Doris (late Ron) Shepley, the late  Keith (Fran) Robinson, Allen (Kathy) Robinson and the late Marie (late George) Stevenson. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. 

Fred was a hard working man with a passion for gardening. he brought delight to many when he shared his abundance with family, friends, and new associates.  He dedicated many hours to volunteer construction of over 70 Kingdom Halls throughout Ontario and numerous projects in Honduras.

His deep love for God and the Bible compelled him to share with others the hopeful promises for the future.  Even with failing health, his deep conviction was evident as he regularly reminded his family of God’s promised resurrection and new world to come, at which time he hoped to be reunited with his family. As per Fred’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  The family would like to express their appreciation for all those that contributed to his care over the last several months.
