I am very sorry for the loss of Linda, She lived life to the fullest and was always there to help. She endured her toughest moments with greatness and always gave her all. It was so good to see how much she overcame with her lung transplant and the light in her eyes. She will be missed

To start I would like to reach out to Linda’s family, I know this must be a very hard time for you all. Curt please feel free to reach out to us anytime.
Linda & I were both members of a Facebook page for lung transplant people at the Toronto General Hospital where I first saw posts from Linda, as it happened we were in the rehab centre at the same time and met in person.
Turned out we lived in the same apartment building while we were followed by TGH for our transplants. Curt and my husband Kevin became friends and spent time visiting with each other outside on occasion.
I wish I could have spent more time sitting and chatting together but we both kept getting sick, me with covid and Linda with infections. She battled many obstacles after her surgery, but overall was strong and energetic towards recovery. Linda was eager to return to her home, family and friends and spoke fondly of them all. Once you became friends with Linda she reached out to ensure you were doing well.
I’ll miss my friend, rest in peace “girl” may the Lord welcome and lookout for you. God’s peace

I loved working with Linda at our time at the Capitol. I called her the onsight translator - she could take the construction speak and break it down in a way that made sense to me lol. Sending strength to her family and friends through this hard time.

I met Linda at Toronto General Hospital after we both went through a double lung transplant. We were roommates shortly after the surgery. After introducing ourselves, we learned that we had a LOT in common. Our surgeries were one day apart, our birthdays were one day apart and our mothers were both born on June 24th. Uncanny or star crossed, call it what you want. I grew to love her right away, as well as her family and my son felt the same way. I will never forget her love, encouragement, strength and sense of humor. I only wish I didn't live so far away. Unfortunately our healing never allowed for a home visit, which will always sadden me. We had the most personal talks and I will forever miss her texts and calls. I won't be able to attend her celebration of Life, but she will forever be on my mind. I feel blessed that our paths crossed.
With Love and Light my dear friend...

I was one of the very lucky people whom Linda met after her surgery, we were both recovering and something about her spirit hit me, she was so full of life and so grateful for the gift of lungs she had been given.
My heart is very heavy right now, condolences to her family and friends, she was a wonderful woman and I’m sad she’s no longer in this world living it up!!!

Thank you for all your support while I went through my cancer journey this last year. I was so thrilled for you when you were gifted your new lungs. I loved working with you and sharing sewing patterns and getting you to sew clothes for yourself. We fed each other’s inner sewer, quilter, knitter and embroidery cravings. I will miss you sweet friend and I am greatly appreciative of everything you brought to my life.
