Obituary of John Kish

KISH, John - 87, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children, on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus. Born near Thamesville, Ontario, John and his wife Joanne raised their family in Chatham where he worked for Bell Canada for almost 40 years, then as a contractor for the Union Gas for 21 more years. He was patient and kind, appreciated classic cars and movies, and always made family and friends laugh with his quick wit and storytelling.

John was the loving father of Sharon Kish, Stuart (Michelle) Kish, Dennis (Tina) Kish, and Charlene (Brian) Garside, and grandfather of Joshua and Kimberly Kish, Kaylin and Maks Garside, and Noah and Tristan Kish. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joanne (Cadotte), his parents Steve and Mary (Toth), and his brothers Joe and Steve Kish.

A public memorial service will be held at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home on Friday, December 15, 2-4pm.

The family welcomes donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
