Obituary of Antonio "Tony" Follo
Peacefully surrounded by family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Wednesday January 3, 2024, Antonio "Tony" Follo, age 82, of Chatham, beloved husband of Genoveffa (Violano) Follo. Born in Castelvetere sul Calore, Italy in 1941, son of the late Clelia (DeCristofaro) and Soccorso Follo. Tony was a machine operator with Intrepid General Ltd. and was a member of St. Joseph’s Church. Loving father of Paola (Enzo) DeVito and Soccorso “Steve” Follo. Cherished Nonno of Massimo, Monica, Gianluca, Alessandro, Matteo and Tae-Lynn. Predeceased by his sisters; Mafalda Follo, Leona Matteis and Maria Mastromarino.
Papà loved his family so much. His grandchildren were his pride and joy whom he loved fiercely.
Papà was a hard worker. His favourite place was “the garage”. You would find him here spending hours tending to his garden and his chickens.
Papà was always on the go, whether it was going for a ride in his “baby” (his white ford ranger) or MacGyvering up something.
Papà always had a smile on his face, he was a special man to many. He made everyone feel loved from the minute he met them. He embraced each moment with so much joy. Every small thing meant the world to Papà. A selfless and dedicated Catholic who truly wore his heart on his sleeve.
A special thanks goes to the PCU team at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Dr. Allison Morand and Dr. Marco Mura.
