Obituary of Jason Allen Legue

Jason Allan Legue, known affectionately as Jay, passed away on Thursday February 22, 2024 at the age of 49 years. He was born on May 2, 1974 in Chatham, Ontario and spent most of his life in this community.

Jason touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. His free spirit and funny personality brought joy to those around him. He had a heart of gold and always went out of his way to make others laugh and feel loved.

Jason is survived by his siblings: Justin Legue and Crystal Crone, Tonia Legue, Jeremy Legue and Teeda Doyle, Joel Legue and Renee Church, Shayna Legue and Matt Humphrey, Brandon Legue, Shane Legue, Brittany Legue, Oren and Orien Crosby and many many more. He was predeceased by his mother Maureen Legue in 2021 and his father Gordon Brown in 2008.

Jason’s grandparents Gladys and Albert Legue, Rita and Councilor Brown also predeceased him. He is lovingly remembered by is children; Katie, Shelbie, Gabby and Rose as well as his many nieces and nephews. Jason’s best friend and lifelong partner Kimberly Dutcher also mourns his loss. In memory of Jason, donations can be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB).

Born and raised in Chatham, Jason Allan Legue left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew hm. He will be forever remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. Jason was a road runner all his life but now he can finally take of his shoes and coat and get some rest.

Until we meet again forever in our hearts he’ll always be. Cremation has taken place.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday March 6, 2024 from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 pm.
