Obituary of Omer Rossignol

Peacefully, at Meadow Park Nursing Home, Chatham, on November 15, 2015, Omer Joseph Rossignol, age 86, of Chatham, beloved husband of Yvonne Rossignol (Michaud). Born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, son of the late Emily and Alex Rossignol.
He is survived by his children, Cajetan (Sharon) Laverdière of Minesing, On., Gaetan (Mary) Hegyi of Barrie, Jaçinthe (Gerry) Bondy of London, Gisèle (Michel) Mongeau, Ivan (Kim) Labonté, Doreen Maynard, Richard (Nicole) Hornby, Normand (Cindy) Deneau all of Chatham, and Michel (Yvette) Alexandre of Grande Pointe, 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Also missed by his sister Yvonne (Guildor) Moreau of Grand Falls, N.B., nieces and nephews and extended family.
Predeceased by his siblings, Albert Rossignol, Esther Ouellette, Linda Duchènes, and Mildred Pelletier, and son in law Dave Maynard.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm. Omer was a member of the 4th degree Knights of Columbus and his brother knights will stand watch and hold a prayer service Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11 am in Immaculée Conception Church, Pain Court. Burial will be in Immaculée Conception Cemetery.
