Obituary of Theresa DeVogelaere

Peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General, St. Thomas on Sunday March 24, 2024, Theresa Marie DeVogelaere, age 80.  Beloved wife of David DeVogelaere.  Born in 1943, daughter of the late Leona (Couture) and Lester Lozon. 

She is survived by her daughter Doris Pelat and her children Chantelle and Korena, and her son George DeVogelaere and his children Anton and Joseph.  Great grandmother of Samantha, Braxton, Sophia, Mariyah and Rylee.  She will also be remembered by her sisters Joanne (Phil) Duquette, Bernice (late Armand) Laprise, mother-in-law Mary (late Joe) Sevigny, brother-in-law Jim Johnson and many nices and nephews. 

Predeceased by her ster Louella Johnson and brother Ron Lozon.    

Theresa was the Past Grand Matriarch for the Ladies Encampment Auxillary for Ontario and also the Past President of the Rebekah Assembly of Ontario.  A Rebekah Service will begin at 6 PM.

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Tuesday April 2, 2024 from 6-8 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday April 3, 2024 at 10 AM in St. Ursula's Church. 

Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
