Passed peacefully at his residence in Chatham, surrounded by family on Thursday May 30, 2024, Jozef Henryk Demidas, age 70, of Chatham, beloved husband of Bozena (Kosinska) Demidas of 47 years.

Born in Poland in 1954, son of the late Aniela (Denjna) and Edward Demidas. 

Loving father of Patrycja Demidas (Damian) and Monika Easton (Kevin). Cherished dziadzio of Ava, Cora and Jakub. Also sadly missed by 2 sisters in Poland, Czeslawa and Krystyna and many nephews and nieces.

Jozef volunteered at Our Lady of Victory parish and was a member of the Polish-Canadian club. 

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday June 5, 2024 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday June 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Victory Church.

Burial of ashes will take place at a later date.

Donations made in Jozef’s memory to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
