Obituary of William "Bill" Wellington

Peacefully surrounded by family at Copper Terrace Long Term Care Facility, Chatham, on Friday June 7, 2024. William “Bill” Charles Wellington, age 77, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Betty Ann (Ducedre)Wellington (2001).  Born in Chatham in 1946, son of the late Florence (Fields) and Richard Wellington.  Bill was a driver for many years with Courtesy Cabs.

Loving father of Cheryl Eldridge, Richard Wellington Jr., Gary (Doreen) Wellington, Cathy (Garnett) Cowan, Tracy (Junior) Rumble, Crystal (Chris) Sknoblauch and Billy (Julie) Wellington. Dear brother of Clara Walker. Sadly missed by 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters.   

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and on Wednesday June 12, 2024.  Funeral Service will be conducted in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Wednesday June 12, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Greg Simpson officiating.  

Cremation will follow.

A Celebration of Life will also take place on Wednesday June 12^th from 3-7 pm Southside Estates, 22220 Charing Cross Rd, Chatham, ON.
