My deepest sympathy to the Denys family and friends of George. I was honoured to have known George, The kindness and acceptance that George and his family had for me has been an amazing support and I am forever grateful . The sun will still shine, the crops will still grow and when they do, I will think of you.. May you rest in peace and your legacy will always remain.

Julie, Steve & Ann, Janet & Paul, David, Anna and families,
I am heartbroken with George's passing. I admired him so much; he was always so friendly, kind, calm, laughed and smiled easily and clearly a man of great conviction and integrity. When I ran for Mayor, and when I was elected as Councillor, he provided welcome advice and input, which I will always treasure. It was clear how much he cared about his community as a whole, and those who resided in it. His work in the pre-amalgamation days to ensure a fair and equitable process for all, especially during such a tumultuous time, should never be forgotten. I will miss him very much. May he Rest In Peace.

Dear Mrs. Denys, Janet, Stephen, and David,
I was so very sorry to learn of the loss of your husband and father. Please accept my deepest condolences. His obituary so beautifully described him -- he was a man of such integrity and grace. When Janet and I were close friends in Grades 7 and 8, Mr. Denys was always so kind to me when I was at the house for a sleepover. Such good memories of friends' parents never leave us. Sending prayers and Light to you...

Our deepest sympathies to Aunt Julie, Steve, Janet, David and your families. Farewell Uncle George. As a kid, I remember your clean tractors, tidy barns and flawless fields of corn and tomatoes. I also remember you kindly giving us your riding cucumber picker to support us launching our own crop. I will always remember your visit last summer. I honor your proud Canadian story of immigrating as a young man and building a successful legacy founded on lifelong optimism, patience, curiosity, character and hard work… a proud story shared by my many uncles and aunts and my parents. Aunt Julie and your kids and their beautiful families are a testament to your enduring legacy. I’m not able to join everyone tomorrow to say goodbye, but we will be there in spirit from Texas. Leon and Bobbi Aarts and family.

Janet, Paul and family,
My heartfelt sympathy with the death of your father George. It appears he made tremendous contributions to the wellbeing of the community as a man of "integrity and empathy". It really is true "the apple does fall far from the tree". So too this is how we experience you, Janet: a woman of integrity and empathy: all gifts received from your mom and dad.
Hope, Janet, you and your brothers can take some time to share some stories of your dad and mom, mourn your dad's death and to celebrate his new life with God.
May the perpetual light of God be with George Denys,
Fr. Peter McKenna, SCJ

My sympathy to you at this time of George's passing. I was administrator of Thamesview lodge when he began his time on Kent county council. Your description of him is exactly as I remember him .- preparared , interested and questioning and making thoughtful in all decisions. He sat on the Committee of Management for at least three years. .
You will be joining many of us who, in the last few years, are walking on the widow's walk. May your good memories and faith make the walk much easier.
Sincerely.
