Obituary of Angela Gagner
Peacefully at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, Chatham, on Saturday June 29, 2024, Angela Gagner, age 98. Beloved wife of the late Edmond Gagner (2005). Born in Chatham in 1926, daughter of the late Blanche (Martin) and William Trudell.
Loving mother of Rose Marie (James) Somerset, Jean Maurice “Moe” (Peggy) Gagner, Denise (Bernard) Gouin, Philippe Gagner and the late Charles Joseph Gagner (1976). Cherished grandmother of David (Rhonda) Gagner, Danielle Gagner, Jennifer Somerset, Julie Anne Gouin, Charles Somerset, Caroline Isabelle (Patrick) Moloney and great grandmother of Eric, Emily, Alexandre, Isabelle, Nicolas and Wesley. Dear sister of Claire (late Bill) Morrice, late Marie (late Dick) Ouellette, late Lucille (George) Kir, late Raymond (late Camilla) Trudell and the late Gerard (late Suzanne) Trudell. She will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Mom loved music, dancing (when her husband Edmond was not at the piano), gardening and harvesting all sorts of vegetables, as well as sewing. She particularly found great pleasure in playing cards, especially pepper and cribbage, of which she often played with her children where we all witnessed her competitive side come out. Mom was an active member of Immaculate Conception church and a dedicated lifelong member of the “Dames de Ste. Anne”.
We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff on 5 West at Riverview Gardens, especially for their care and compassion over the last couple of weeks.
