Peacefully at her residence in Chatham, on Thursday July 25th, 2024, it is with deep sadness we share the passing of our mother Maria Antonia Magliaro, age 88. Beloved wife of the late Luigi Antonio Magliaro (2018). Born in Castelvetere sul Calore, Italy on August 3rd, 1935, daughter of the late Carmela (Vena) and Ernesto Matteis. Loving mother of Minnie (Dan) Hampel and Pat (Sue) Magliaro. Cherished nonna of Andrea (Joe), Erin (Kevin), Chris (Stephanie) and great nonna to Luca, Noah, Marion, Margot and Maeve. Dear brothers and sisters Giuseppe (Angelina) Matteis, predeceased by her brother Fiore (Anne) Matteis, Geraldina (Vittorio) Todino, Tony (Anna) Matteis, Joann (Mario) Moccia and brother-in-law Luciano (Grace) Magliaro. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Our mother leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and unwavering devotion to her family. She dedicated her life to her late husband, children and grandchildren who she cherished deeply. She was the happiest when cooking for her family and expressed her love through many delicious meals, including her famous fettinas and homemade pizzas. Her quick wit and humour always had us laughing.
Our hearts are at peace knowing you are reunited, playing cards at the table with Dad.
