Peacefully at Chatham-Kent Hospice, on Wednesday August 7, 2024, Giselda Bocchino, age 93. 

Born in Castelvetere sul Calore, Italy in 1931, daughter of the late Louisa Dilisio. 

Beloved mother of Josephine (Stephen) Lourie, Tony (Carmella) Bocchino and the late John Bocchino (2019).  Loving Nonna of Simon (Stephanie), Anthony (Shayna), Branden, late Jessica (2023), Aldo (Krista) and Gulianna (Paul).  Dearest great Nonna of Braydyn, Olivia, Emilio, Isabella, Andre, Benjamin, Angelina, Oliver and Christian.

Predeceased by her former husband Pasquale (2009) and her sisters Fiorina and Pasqualina both of Italy. 

Special thank you to Colleen, Donna, Tammy, Sara and Crystal, whose care and love helped ensure Giselda could live at home with  family and kept her spirits bright, and also the amazing caregivers and friends from the  Alzheimer Society of Chatham Kent Day Program, and St. Andrew's Day Program who always bought joy to Giselda’s day.  

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday August 11, 2024 from 6-8 PM. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday August 12, 2024 at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church. 

Entombment will follow in Maple Leaf Mausoleum. 

Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
