Obituary of Raymond Lachapelle

Peacefully surrounded by his family at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Tuesday December 17, 2024, Raymond Joseph Lachapelle, age 69.  Beloved husband of Carmela (Moccia) Lachapelle.  Born in Chatham in 1955, son of the late Angeline (Bechard) and John Lachapelle.  

Loving father of Angelo (Erica) Lachapelle, Reno (Olivia) Lachapelle, Jenn (Matt) Hemming and Johnny (Lisa) Lachapelle.  Cherished grandfather of Ethan Hemming, Alexander Hemming, Natalie Lachapelle, Anthony Lachapelle, Samantha Lachapelle, Savannah Hemming, Gianluca Lachapelle and Domenic Lachapelle.  Dear brother of Christine (Kevin) O’Reilly and brother-in-law of Rosa (Jerry) Sullo, Mario (Joanne) Moccia, Joe Moccia and Linda Lachapelle.  He will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by his brothers Norman and Maurice Lachapelle and his father-in-law and mother in-law Salvatore and Maria Moccia. 

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday December 19, 2024.  Visitation will also take place on Friday December 20, 2024 in St. Joseph’s Church from 9 AM until the time of a Funeral Mass at 10 AM. 

Cremation will follow.
