Peacefully at Glendale Crossing Long Term Care Facility, London, on Wednesday May 13, 2015, Edna Marie Benoit, age 87, formerly of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Gabriel Benoit (1995). Born in St. Joachim in 1928, daughter of the late Mary (Baillargeon) and Eugene Levasseur.
Loving mother of Anita Fuerth (deceased 2003), Paulette Strang and her husband John of Windsor, Marianne Parry and her husband Jay of London and Lisa Benoit and her husband Bradley Dempster (deceased 2014) of Waterloo. Sadly missed by grandchildren; Nicole and David Strang, Jessica, Danielle and Katelyn Parry, Graeme, Gregory and Rachel Dempster, Ben (Karen), Alex (Cassandra) and Justin Fuerth. Dear sister of Marie Bezaire of Amherstburg. Predeceased by brothers and sister, René, Anna, Leo, Paul. Also sadly missed by a son-in-law Stephen (Betty) Fuerth, Edward and Connie Benoit, Blanche (Benoit) and Glenn Cooper.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday May 17, 2015 from 2-4 pm ONLY.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday May 18, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church.
Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Ovarian Cancer Canada would be appreciated.
