Obituary of Linda Crawley
Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Unexpectedly, on Wednesday April 8, 2015, at the Guelph General Hospital, the world lost an amazing person: Linda Jean Marie Crawley, age 64, of Chatham and heaven gained a special angel. She was the beloved best friend and wife of Dave Crawley. She was born in Coaticook, Quebec in 1950, daughter of the late Armande Archambault and Peter Nielsen.
A mother like no other, to Patrick (Jen) Crawley of Chatham, Erin Crawley (John Edmunds) of Wakefield, Quebec and Lana Crawley (Mark Oulds) of Chatham. Dear sister of Helen Elliott (Bill) and Wendy Baranek (Dan). Her nieces and nephews will miss her greatly as well. Ever the social butterfly, Linda was loved and will be sadly missed by her many, many friends. Linda’s joy for life was clear. This was never more evident than when she was spending time with her granddaughter Haylee. Her love of children was also exhibited in her professional life as well. A teacher for many years, her passion was teaching junior kindergarten. Linda’s compassion, generosity and kindness were legendary. She was always quick to offer a hug or words of support to those who needed them.
The family requests that you join them for a Gathering of Friends at the Links of Kent Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 3-6pm.
A funeral mass will take place on Friday April 17, 2015 at 11am in St. Agnes Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Mental Health Association.
The family is very appreciative of the caring and dedication of the nurses and team on the Critical Care Unit at Guelph General Hospital, as well as the wonderful care from Doctor Susan Munro, Doctor Ade-Conde, and Doctor Sunny Luthra.
