At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Friday August 5, 2016, Margaret Ethel (Medland)(Harwood) Studnicka, age 98, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Joseph Studnicka (1988). Born in Chatham in 1917, daughter of the late Hilda (Wooldridge) and Frederick Medland. Margaret was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, the Catholic Women’s League and was retired in 1980, from the Public General Hospital where she worked as a Health Records Technician for over 23 years. Loving mother of Beth Studnicka and husband David, Brian Harwood and wife Shirley and Dennis Harwood and wife Denise. Sadly missed by 13 grandchildren 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Dear stepmother of Jerry Studnicka (Anna), Helen Kuna and Frances (Jerry) Gazarek. Predeceased by her sons Michael Harwood and Richard Harwood, by one stepson Joseph Studnicka and by sisters; Mildred Roe, Eva Kelley and Betty Clapp and by a granddaughter Shay Harwood. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday August 7, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers and Catholic Women’s League prayers will be offered at 3 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday August 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Charity of One’s Choice would be appreciated.
