Obituary of Jean Dauphinais

Please share a memory of Jean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Peacefully, at the age of 94, with grace and dignity, our mother Jean left her family to join our father Henry (2001) in heaven, surrounded by her family. Jean was the daughter of Nick and Hazel (Trudell) Kearns and was the last surviving member of her family. Beloved mother to eight children, Hazel (Roger) St. Pierre, Sandy (Charlie) Dries, Hank (late Barbara 2001) Dauphinais, Marie (late William 2004) Gardiner, Mary Lou (J.B.) Trahan, Penny (Chuck) Authier, Yvette (Terry) Copeland and Robin Dauphinais. Grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Predeceased by siblings Roger Kearns, Ruth Menard, Delores Whittal, Melvin Kearns and James Kearns. Jean farmed in Fletcher with her husband for many years. She was famous for her Sunday dinners at the farm. Her home was always open to family, friends and neighbours. She spent many hours volunteering for her church, the Cancer Society and St. Joseph’s Hospital. Cremation will take place. A celebration of Jean’s life will be held at a later date with burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Merlin. Donations to the Brain Tumor Foundation would be appreciated.
