Obituary of Jack Pearson

Please share a memory of Jack to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2015 with his family by his side at Victoria Hospital, London. Beloved husband and best friend of Patricia (nee Meagher). Loving father of his son John and daughter Anne Marie. He will be missed by his grandchildren Justine, Jessalyn, Jake and Jadeyn. He was born in London April 30, 1937, son of the late Peter and Carmel (nee Craig) Pearson. Dear brother of Philip and his wife Robin of Edmonton and Paul Pearson and his late wife Nancy (nee Sparks) of Chatham. He was predeceased by his brother Peter. Brother-in-law of John and his wife Patricia of Newcastle and Dan and his wife Donna Marie of Guelph. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was a retired Chartered Accountant who truly enjoyed working with his many clients. He was always a gentleman and had many interests and hobbies and enjoyed the many friendships made over the years. He was a long-serving Rotarian, a Paul Harris Fellow, and was Past President of the Rotary Club of Chatham. He was an avid boater for many years and was a Past Commander of the Chatham Power and Sail Squadron. He enjoyed the sport of curling, and was a long standing member of the Chatham Granite Club. He was a local supporter of the Canadian Cancer Society. He enjoyed photography and was the family historian. He and Pat enjoyed many years at their family cottage “Sunset Valley” in Bayfield. Sunset time was always a shared event, as was the feeding of the white squirrels and bird watching. Jack and Pat shared a faith-filled life and always enjoyed their years of being part of the Blessed Sacrament Parish as well as the St. Peter’s Parish in St. Joseph. Friends and relatives may visit at the funeral home 156 William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Monday March 9, 2015. Parish prayers Monday at 3 pm. A Funeral Mass for Jack will be celebrated on Tuesday March 10, 2015 at 11 am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will be at a later date in Bayfield. Donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice, London Health Science Centre Foundation-Cancer Program or the Rotary Club Foundation. The family is very appreciative of the caring and dedication of the surgical doctors, nurses and medical team at Victoria Hospital, London and the Country Inn and Suites for making us a home away from home.
