Obituary of Philip Grison

Please share a memory of Philip to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Sunday, February 15, 2015, Philip Gregory Grison, age 82, of Chatham, beloved husband of Gilberte (Charlebois) Grison. Born in Chatham in 1932, son of the late Noreene (Smith) and Henri Grison. Loving father of Gisèle Bourdeau of Chatham, Greg Grison (Kathleen LePatourel) of Burlington, Guy (Wanda) Grison of Toronto and Denise Grison of Toronto. Dearest grandfather of Aisha, Kamal, Danielle and Claire. Dear brother-in-law of Helen McKeon. Predeceased by a brother Peter Grison (1980). With the exception of his last year, Phil lived a hale and hearty life. He was vital and active; a man who walked or bicycled wherever he could; an avid golfer who insisted on playing the links without a cart; a musician his entire life who was happiest singing but also embraced the challenge of learning a new instrument; an involved and dedicated member of St. Agnes Church where he found great community. Phil considered himself a blessed man to have raised a family with Gilberte. We consider ourselves a blessed family to have had Phil as husband, father and grandfather. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11 am in St. Agnes’ Church. Cremation will follow. Donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice would be appreciated.
