Obituary of Elva Mae Robertson

A gentle soul, went to her Eternal Rest at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Saturday, January 24, 2015, in her 97th year. Elva was predeceased by her devoted husband Joe in 1996. She is survived by: her two favourite girls, Patricia Anne Tyndall and Karen Elizabeth (Leslie) Wood both of Chatham; her cherished grandchildren Michele, Lee (Leitha), Aislinn (Glenn), Mark (Kelsey), Brian (Lisa), Matthew and Mary Beth (Jonathan); her much loved great-grandchildren Lonnie (Brooke), Brad, Nick, Devin, Allison, Michael, Meghan, Melody, Thomas, Tyler, Maddy, Justin, Madison and her little man, Benjamin and great great grandchildren, Loki, Talon and Carter. Also survived by her loving sister-in-law, Lois Kearns and many special nieces and nephews. Elva was the last surviving child of Arthur and Elizabeth (Ritchie) Kearns and was predeceased by all of her siblings, Garnet (Mary), Edna (Ivan), Joseph and Mark (Maureen). Many thanks and much appreciation to the staff of Residence on the Thames, C.K.H.A. Fourth Floor Medicine, Third Floor Palliative Care for their compassionate care. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 7 – 9 PM where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 11 AM – 12:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1 PM in Blessed Sacrament Church with Fr. Daniel Bombardier the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Merlin. Donations to the C.K. Hospice or Canadian Food For Children would be appreciated.
