Peacefully, at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, Chatham, on Monday, January 5, 2015, Gloria Caroline Vanderiviere, age 85, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late John Vanderiviere (2011). Born in Wallaceburg in 1929, daughter of the late Marie (Merckx) and Alfred Lernout.
Loving mother of Linda (Peter) Japp. Dearest grandmother of Jill (Sean O’Brien), Justin, Joel and Drew (Stephanie) and great grandmother of Brooklyn, Adrian, and Gwendolyn. Predeceased by her son Leo Vanderiviere, her brothers, Joseph, Fred, and Leonard Lernout, and her sisters, Anna Dhaen and Florien Crawford.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 7 – 9 pm. Parish prayers will be held at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 1 pm in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Donations to the Alzheimers Association would be appreciated.
