Obituary of Salvatore Moccia

Suddenly, surrounded by family, at the London Health Science Centre University Campus, on Friday, December 26, 2014, Salvatore Moccia, age 81, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Maria Concetta Moccia (Follo). Born in Castelvetere, Italy, son of the late Mariano and Carmela Moccia.
He is survived by his children, Carmela (Raymond) Lachapelle, Mario (Joanne) Moccia, Rosa (Jerry) Sullo, Generoso Moccia all of Chatham, his grandchildren, Angelo (Erica) LaChapelle, Reno (Olivia) LaChapelle, Jennifer (Matt) Hemming, Johnny (Lisa) LaChapelle, Maria (Matt) Tape, Savatore Moccia, Sarah Moccia, Stephanie (James) Woodall, and Nicole (Jeff) Sullo and 8 great grandchildren.
Also survived by his sisters, Mafalda, Maria, and Giovanna, and his brothers, Generoso and Pasquale and by many nieces and nephews and one uncle Fiore Moccia.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 3 – 5 PM and 7 – 9 PM, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 4 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 10 AM in St. Joseph’s Church. Entombment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Donations to the London Health Science Center (Cardiac or Kidney Units) would be appreciated.
