Obituary of Jim Ptaszynski

Peacefully at his residence, on Monday November 24, 2014, James Ptaszynski, age 89, of R.R. # 6, Merlin, beloved husband of the late Genowefa “Jean” (Zajdel)(1997). Born in Dobrowa, Poland in 1925, son of the late Jozefa Harasimowicz and Konstanty Ptaszynski. Jim was a farmer and a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. Jim was also a longstanding member of the Polish Canadian Club.
Loving father of Stanley (Barbara), Henry (Linda) and John (Diane). Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren; Stephen (Shannon), Christopher (Stacey), Helenka, Timothy, Takya, Tyler, David and Carrie and by great grandchildren; Willow, Tessa, Kali and Mason. Dear brother of Nora Sosnowski. Predeceased by a brother Edward.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Thursday November 27, 2014 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 7 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday November 28, 2014 at 10 am in Our Lady of Victory Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Donations to Windsor Cancer Clinic or the V.O.N. Chatham Kent would be appreciated.
