Obituary of Payton Dozois-Kelly

At home, on Monday, October 27, 2014, Payton Summer Dozois-Kelly, age 15, of Chatham, beloved daughter of Jen Dozois (Mark Rogers), and Ryan Kelly (Dorothy MacLeod). Dear Grand-daughter of Denise Dozois and Brenda Kelly. She will be sadly missed by her brother Aiden, her step-brothers Andrew and Joey, her half sisters Madi and Mika, and step brothers Jacob and Joshua. Payton will also be missed by her uncles, Ron (Jenny) Dozois Jr., Trevor (Sandy) Kelly, Ian (Jessica) Kelly, her great grandmothers, Mary Burch and Stella Robbins, her cousin Jackson, her former step-dad Jason Cikatricis, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, teachers and friends. Predeceased by her grandfathers, Ron Dozois and Dan Kelly. Payton was passionate and always seeking more in life. She loved her family and friends and was a mentor to others simply by her willingness to listen and share her story. She spent the summer working at New Beginnings helping their clients. She loved her job and thoroughly enjoyed helping people. Payton had a love of books that encompassed many areas of interest. She was a student at Chatham Kent Secondary School. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 2 – 4 PM and 7 – 9 PM on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Funeral Service will be conducted in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11 AM with Rev. Susan Jolley officiating. Cremation will follow. Donations to New Beginnings-Brain Injury Association or the Canadian Mental Health Association (Lambton-Kent) would be appreciated.
