Obituary of Elsie Couture-Duphette

Peacefully, at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, Chatham, on Sunday, July 13, 2014, Elsie Couture, age 94, wife of the late Noah Duphette (1968) and Felix Couture (1998). Born in Belgium, daughter of the late Zoe (DeVos) and Jules Crevits. Elsie is a retired cook for the former Thamesview Lodge.
She is survived by 3 children, Donald (Margie) Crevits of Chatham, Mary (John) Wilson of Tecumseh and Dianne Duphette (Terry) of Pain Court, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by her brother-in-law Leonard Eagen and sister-in-law Bonnie Crevits.
Predeceased by her brothers, Marcel and Cyril and her sisters, Margaret and Yvonne.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 2 – 4 PM and 7 – 9 PM, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 11 AM in Immaculée Conception Church, Pain Court. Burial will be in Immaculée Conception Cemetery.
Donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
