Obituary of Gordon Taggart

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful man. Gordon Robert Taggart, a resident of Bothwell (formerly of Windsor) passed away suddenly of a heart attack at the Four Counties Health Services in Newbury on June 27, 2014 at the age of 69. Gord was the son of the late Ivan and Daisy Taggart of Windsor. Dear brother of the late Betty Sandison, of Windsor & the late George Taggart, of Windsor.
Gord is survived by his beloved partner of 28 years, Sandee Horton; his K-9 companion, Ella; his children, Richard (Sheri) Taggart of Wallaceburg; Ross Taggart, of Leamington; Melanie (Paul) Alexander, of Maidstone; Dear Grandfather of Kyle (Kristina) Godin-Taggart, Eric Alexander, Crystal (Chris) MacKinnon and Ryan (Brianna) Countryman; Great grandfather of Kianna Taggart, Jeffery MacKinnon, and Hendrix Countryman. He is also survived by his niece, Marlene (Paul) Darderian and their 5 grandchildren; and Margaret Taggart (widow of George) and their 5 children.
Gord was a former employeeof Prince Metal Products (The Narmco Group) where he retired in 2004 after 40 years of dedicated service. After retiring, Gord and Sandee moved to Bothwell, Ontario to enjoy country living and many memorable trips together. This tender, loving and kind man will be truly missed by all that knew him. A “Celebration of Life” Memorial will be held for Family and close Friends in Chatham at a later date. Cremation has taken place as per Gord’s wishes.
