Obituary of Genowefa Gawrych

Peacefully on the 28th of June, 2014 at her home, Genowefa GAWRYCH, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Antoni Gawrych (2000). Loved mother of Anna Gawrych-Mally (Ryszard Mally), Andrzej Gawrych (Danuta), and Elzbieta Bartoszewska. Loving grandmother to Matthew, Justyna (Anthony), Pawel, and Piotr, and great grandmother to Giana. Sister to Hendryk Lisek (Janina) and to the late Helena Mielnik (Karol) (2009). Born in Wyk, Poland, a resident of Mragiowo for many years. Genowefa recently came to live with her daughter Anna in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. She loved her family dearly, and enjoyed the many visits from family members, that came to visit from Europe and North America. In her later years, she enjoyed being in the garden, bird watching, and listening to classical music. She will be lovingly remembered for generosity, kindness, and resilience. Funeral service will be held at OUR LADY OF VICTORY Parish, 480 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Wednesday, July 9th, 2014 at 10 AM.
