Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, June 15, 2014, James “Jim” Albert Barry, age 64, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Judie (Lewis) Barry (2002). Born in Chatham in 1950, son of the late Florence and William Barry.
Loving father of Shawn Barry of Chatham, Maleen (Mitchell) Nelson of Prince George, B.C., Theresa (Jordan) Dreise of Chatham and Jessica (Michael) Lucio of Cold Lake, Alberta. Dearest grandfather of Jennifer, Melissa, Andrea, Christopher, Karmendy, Weston, Kay’Lee, Max and Hunter. Also survived by his nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law Barbara Lewis and his brother-in-law Richard Lewis both of Bothwell. Predeceased by sisters Helen St. Pierre, Betty Ann Barry, and a brother Teddy Barry.
Jim was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 628 and retired from Navistar in 2003 after 30 years. Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 2 – 4 PM and 7 – 9 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11 AM with Rev. Susan Jolley officiating. Cremation will follow.
