Peacefully in Wallaceburg, on Sunday, June 8, 2014, Betty Carlsen, age 72, of Chatham. Beloved wife of the late Hjalmar Carlsen (1975). Born in Dutton in 1941, daughter of the late Bessie (Peters) and McKinley (Mac) Waucaush.
Loving mother of Lynda Carlsen-Sands, Brian (Susan) Carlsen, Jacqueline Carlsen, Lorraine “Lori” (John) Smith and Lee (Donna) Carlsen. Dearest grandmother of 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Sadly missed by Levi Carlsen. Dear sister of Heather Dolson, Jean Houle, Philip Waucaush, Sherwood Waucaush and John Waucaush.
Predeceased by a grandson Brandon Sands, a sister Sylvia and brother Arnold.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Leona Wright officiating. Cremation will follow.
Donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.
