Peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Monday, May 26, 2014, Betty Anne Martin, age 88, of Chatham. Beloved wife of the late Real Martin, and daughter of the late Grace and Arthur Blonde. Forever an inspiration to her children, Rene (Carla) Martin of London, Louise (Paul) Harris of Toronto, Rita (Brian) Biskey, Anne-Marie (Mike) Zink both of Chatham and Loretta (Chris) Ross of London. Always treasured by her grandchildren, Christina, Paula, Lisa, Alicia, Marc, Trevor, Troy, Chris, Kelly, Craig, Jeffrey, Rachel and Sarah. Dear sister of Marilyn Blonde, and Patricia Charlebois. Adored aunt of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Bernard Martin, brother John Blonde and sister Joanne Blonde. Betty Anne was a positive bright light to all who knew her and anyone who crossed her path. She lived a faith-filled life sharing her love of music with several outreach choirs, and enjoyed a variety of activities with many friends. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Canadian Food for Children or Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated.
