At her Residence in Chatham-Kent on Saturday May 24, 2014, Denise Marie Schneider, age 80, of Chatham-Kent, beloved wife of the late Louis Schneider (1999). Born in Chatham in 1933, daughter of the late Minnie Hill and Amedie Belanger.
Denise was a member of St. Ursula’s Church and also the Catholic Women’s League.
Loving mother of Mark Schneider of Chatham, Cathy (Bob) Harwood of Chatham, Greg (Myrna) Schneider of London, Mike Schneider (Lori Louzon) of Chatham and Paul (Lara) Schneider of Thornhill. Cherished grandmother of Eric (Meghan), Andrea (Craig), Emily, Hannah S., Adam, Molly, Amy and Hannah L., great grandmother of Alice, Hazel and Jane. Dear sister of Donna Desmarais of Chatham and sister-in-law of Roger Neilson of Kitchener and Lydia Atkinson. Predeceased by a daughter Anne (1971), granddaughter Olivia (1995), a sister Cherie Neilson and a brother Bob Belanger.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Monday May 26, 2014 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers and Catholic Women’s League prayers will be offered at 3 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at 10 am in St. Ursula’s Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Donations to the Charity of One’s Choice would be appreciated.
