At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Friday May 23, 2014, William Rivers, age 70, of Pain Court, beloved husband of Yvonne (Hasselaar) Rivers. Born in Chatham in 1944, son of the late Jean Rylett and Garnet Rivers. Bill worked as a Truck Driver until his retirement.
Loving father Susan (Ken) Smith of Hamilton, Will Rivers of Fort McMurray, Bobbi Rivers (Henry Caza) of Tilbury, grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 4. Dear brother of Linda Rivers, Dave Rivers and Joe (Jane) Rivers all of Chatham.
Loving Son-in-law of Margaret Broenink, brother-in-law of Diane (Hans) Lieder, Walter (Eunice) Hasselaar, Jeanette (Carl) McBrayne, Bernice (Eldon) Card and Mary (Gerald) Kahue, as well as, many nephews, nieces and their families.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 7 – 9 pm on Monday May 26, 2014. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Chapel of the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Susan Jolley officiating. Cremation will follow.
Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
