Obituary of Anita Steeghs

Peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, St. Thomas, on Thursday, March 27, 2014, Anita Steeghs, age 55 years. Beloved daughter of the late Jeannette (Vanlier) and Martin Steeghs. Loving sister of Nellie Vandervenne (Adrian) of Leamington, Gerda Buzan (Karlo) of Rockland, Agnes Lamers (Willy) of Blenheim, Martin Steeghs (Regina) of Whitby, Mia Saddington (Hal) of Chatham, John Steeghs (companion Joanna Roden) of London, Jeannette Roach (Ron) of Ottawa. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, many friends at Port Bruce Manor, Elgin House and 4 Scott St. She is predeceased by a sister Gina Vandenbogaart (2006) and brother-in-law Louis Vandenbogaart (2013). Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in St. Ursula’s Church (205 Tweedsmuir Ave. W., Chatham) on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 11 AM until the time of Funeral Mass at 12 PM. Burial of ashes will be in St. Matthews Cemetery, Alvinston, Ontario. Donations to Port Bruce Manor (Camp Fund) or Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
