Obituary of Rose Sparks

A resident of Chatham, Rose passed away at Meadow Park Nursing Home with her family by her side on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the age of 95. Born in Ninove, Belguim, Rose came to Canada at the age of 5. Daughter of the late Prosper and Maria (Brankeart) De Cooman. Beloved wife of the late Adam Douglas Sparks (1980) for 40 years.
Devoted and much loved mother of Rosemary (Jack) Brodie of Chatham, Lynn Knill of London, Nancy (Paul) Pearson of Chatham, Bonnie (Raf) Chow of Toronto, and Doug Sparks of Chatham. Rose will be forever loved by her 16 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sister Alice Cooreman, her brothers Robert, Richard and Frank, her son-in-law Richard Knill and grandson Jason. Rose was a real estate agent in Chatham for many years and was a member of I.O.D.E. and Chatham Granite Club. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 7 – 9 PM. Vigil Prayers will be offered at 6:45 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. Cremation will follow with burial of ashes at a later date.
Donations to Cystic Fibrosis would be appreciated.
