Peacefully surrounded by family at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Thursday October 6, 2016, Léone Germaine Legrand, age 90, of Pain Court, beloved wife of the late Maurice Legrand (1994). Born in Bailly-en Riviére, France in 1926, daughter of the late Juliette (Lapostolle) and Léon Fouré.
Loving mother of Francine (Philippe) Bellefleur and Beatrice (Gordon) Cook. Cherished mémé of Carole LaRue (Stephen), Chantal Larson (Thomas), Brian (Rebecca) Cook, Sara Hoffman (Paul), and Megan Cook. Also sadly missed by her great mémé; Eric and Trevor LaRue, Alyssa and Reed Larson, Owen, Carson and Morgan Hoffman, Cassandra and Brandon Gow, Easton Cook and baby Cook. Dear sister of Ginette Gal of France. Predeceased by brothers, André, Bernard and Michel Fouré.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday October 7, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Immaculée Conception Church, Pain Court.
Burial will be in Immaculée Conception Church Cemetery.
Donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
