Obituary of Eleanor Mae Levesque-Hendriks
A resident of Chatham, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 63. Ellie was surrounded by family. Ellie was the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret Smith.
Beloved wife of 23 years to Henry Hendricks.
Loving mother of Priscilla (Alyre) Ringuette of Wallaceburg, Julian (Michelle) Mills Jr. of Chatham, Melissa (Darrell) Mills of Chatham and step-son Brett (Terry Horvak) Hendriks of Alberta. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Chantal (Brian), Shawna, Katie, Logan, Kayla, Konner, Dylan and grandson-in-law, Ian. Ellie was a proud great grandmother of Lyndon, Cheyenne, Joshua, Tyson and Addy. Ellie will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by mother-in-law Ann Vanderheyden; along with Ellie’s sister, Helen (Smith) Parker, brothers John Smith and Murray Smith.
Survived by brothers Richard (Marj) Smith of Ingersoll and Raymond Smith of Chatham, sisters Ruth (Ernie) Taylor of Chatham, Linda (Smith) Bissonnet of Chatham, Carol Smith of Chatham, brother-in-law, Tony (Deb) Hendriks of Toronto, sisters-in-law Mary (Don ) Rekker and family of Chatham and Josie (Gary) Loeper of Ottawa.
Ellie was a member of the Catholic Women’s League (St. Joseph’s Parish, Chatham), helper for St. Joseph’s Knights of Columbus and loved to sing in the St. Joseph’s Traditional Morning Choir.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 7 – 9 pm where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 7:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 1:30 PM in St. Joseph's Church. Cremation will follow.
