Obituary of Sr. Jane Frances Stock

Stock, Sister Jane Frances (Mabel Catherine) entered eternal life on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Villa Angela, Chatham, Ontario. 

She was born in Kinkora in 1921, daughter of the late Mary (Kelly) and Leo Stock.  She entered the Ursuline Sisters of Chatham in 1941.  During her religious life she served as a pastoral worker, nurse’s assistant and sacristan in Chatham, Wallaceburg, Windsor, Stephenson and St. Ignace, Michigan, Rockyford, Alberta and Brescia University College, London.  

She moved to Villa Angela in December 2010.  She is survived by sister-in-law Ruth Stock (Jim) and brother-in-law Jim Martell and was the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her siblings Leo, Joan Martell, Eleanor Bannon, Hazel Howe, Sister Marina OSU, Dorothy Lenihan, Audrey Martell, and Jim.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, 20 Merici Way, Chatham.  

The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, Chatham.  

Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
